Cutaneous surgery (moles, carcinoma)

The aim of skin surgery is to remove any kind of lesions, ranging from the most benign lesions to skin cancer. In simple cases, the lesion is removed and the skin is directly closed over again. When there is not enough skin, or when the distortion would be too visible, plastic surgery techniques, such as skin grafts or flaps are used. In any event, an analysis in a pathology laboratory is requested.
Surgery on melanomas requires the initial lesion to be removed along with a safety margin, and in some circumstances, a search for a sentinel lymph node and sometimes lymph node dissection.
Dr Thomet is licensed to carry out this kind of intervention. In any case, collaboration with a dermatologist is required in order to provide appropriate care.

These procedures are covered by your health insurance.
